Despite the huge cash buy figure of 1254 CR by FII’s in cash today, the data recieved by close signals the start of a sideways move in the Indices
In the index Futures we had more shorts than longs created today.
Shorts added were 6507 contracts against 2111 longs.
The Total OI in BankNifty still shows an upward sloping line and even today more contracts were added in BNF than in NF across series.
In keeping with the view expressed earlier this morning, the BNF is not showing signs of balancing yet.
On the Options front, Vix came very close to the 18.20 target we have been tracking ( high of 17.9)
Accordingly we saw more signs of writing today than longs in calls and puts as was seen in past few days.
15399 short calls were added and 25155 puts were shorted.
And for the first time this series we saw stock futures being shorted.
